And how hard it was – to watch! No doubt about it, this was the worst performance of the season. The only difference between the two teams was the kit and a second half goal. A bit like watching the under nines when all the players move around with the ball like a swarm of bees and every third pass goes to the opposition.
In a nutshell there is really nothing more to say, except that after 83 minutes Florian ‘Harry’ Hirsch had to vent his frustration. As soon as he got the ball in our half I said he’s not going to pass to anyone. You could see (even from 100 metres away with my view half covered by Christian Ortner’s head) that he was going to go straight towards the goal and belt the ball as soon as he got near enough. He had that psycho look about him.
Fittingly enough, Hard’s keeper ****ed up his save and the ball ended up in the back of the net. After the season we’ve had so far, we were all happy for this small mercy and celebrated like we’d just slaughtered Barcelona.
One – nil. Full time. Winter break!
